Yes. We recommend starting with a trial lesson so you can get a feel for the teacher’s style and decide which type of lessons are right for you. Each new student may book one trial lesson.

Our standard trial lesson lasts 15 to 20 minutes. A full-length trial lesson may also be available at the standard single-lesson rate.

Trial lesson credits expire 1 month after they are issued.

All lessons must be booked through our online system. You will need to create a member account to purchase lesson packages, access lesson credits, manage bookings, reschedule or cancel sessions, and download receipts or invoices.

Yes. Once you purchase a package, your lesson credits are issued to your account without delay and can be used straight away.

As our team and teachers are based in the UK, lessons are usually scheduled in the afternoon or evening China time.

As a general rule, cancellations require at least 48 hours’ notice, and rescheduling requires at least 24 hours’ notice. Where a specific package or booking system applies a 24-hour cancellation rule, that rule will be made clear at the time of booking. If there is an urgent or exceptional situation, please contact us directly as soon as possible.

If you cancel or reschedule within the permitted notice period, your lesson credit will remain available for future use.

If you cancel too late or do not attend the lesson, the lesson credit may be deducted and treated as used.

No. We do not charge additional penalty fees. The usual consequence of a late cancellation or no-show is the loss of the lesson credit.

No. We do not guarantee outcomes such as a specific IELTS score or interview result. We do, however, commit to delivering the service with reasonable care and skill.

If there is an obvious pricing, availability, or technical error, we reserve the right to correct it, cancel the order, and issue a refund where appropriate.

Yes, but a parent or legal guardian must enter into the contract on the student’s behalf and take responsibility for the account.

Yes. A parent, guardian, or responsible adult should be present or nearby during each lesson.

Students and parents may record lessons for personal study use only. Samuel will not record lessons without explicit permission.

No. Communication outside lessons must go through official channels or include the parent or guardian. Private direct messaging with under-18 students is not allowed.

A regular lesson lasts 45 minutes.

If you are late, the tutor will usually wait for up to 20 minutes after the scheduled start time. If you arrive within that time, the lesson can continue for the remaining scheduled time. If you do not arrive within that window, the lesson may be treated as a no-show and the credit may be deducted.

If the tutor is late, you will still receive your full teaching time. Lost time will be made up either by extending the lesson where possible or by adding time to a future session.

If the tutor cancels, you will not lose your lesson credit. We will work with you to reschedule, and in some cases may offer a refund for that lesson credit if rescheduling is not feasible.

You will need a stable internet connection, a suitable device, a working microphone, and either speakers or headphones. A quiet environment is strongly recommended.

No. Camera use is optional, although it may improve communication and the overall learning experience.

If problems on your side make the lesson impossible to run effectively, the session may still count as completed.

All lessons are taught online by live video call. Lessons are typically delivered via DingTalk, and in some cases may also be delivered through platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet. Please make sure you have downloaded the required app and logged in before class.

Daily Spoken English focuses on practical communication for real-life situations. Lessons are designed to help you speak more naturally and confidently in English. Topics may include daily life, university, travel, shopping, work, and social situations. Samuel will help you with grammar, pronunciation, fluency and to express yourself naturally.

IELTS Speaking lessons focus on exam preparation and mock practice. Lessons include pronunciation correction, improving expression, developing answer ideas, editing speaking responses, and practising with current IELTS Speaking topics from Part 1 to Part 3. Feedback can be provided after class to support steady improvement.

Business English lessons are designed to help you communicate more confidently in international or English-speaking workplace environments. Topics may include business emails, workplace communication, professional vocabulary, and listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills for work. You may also request specific topics based on your needs.

Interview English lessons help you prepare for interviews for university, internships, and jobs. Lessons may include self-introduction, common interview questions, professional English expression, and mock interview practice with personalised feedback. The free trial is a one-to-one session with a tutor. It allows you to experience the teaching style, lesson atmosphere, and communication approach. During the session, you can discuss your English level, learning goals, and preferences, including whether you would like a personalised learning plan or a more structured lesson format. We strongly recommend booking a free trial before buying to a plan, so you can be confident the lessons are the right fit for you. The free trial is completely FREE and does not require any payment. It does not automatically convert into a paid plan.
